A number of members of our group attended the 2018 Bristol Synthesis Meeting back in April. The talks were highly informative and thoroughly enjoyed!

Cognratulations to Dr. Andrea Zanetti on passing his PhD viva! Andrea’s work focused on the synthesis of oxazole- and triazole-containing lipoxin A4 analogues.

Congratulations to Dr. Cian Kingston on passing his PhD viva! His work focused on the palladium-catalysed enantioselective synthesis of sterically hindered alpha-aryl indanones. We wish him all the best going forward!

Congratulations to both Dr. Catherine Tighe and Dr. Denise Moran on their recent PhD graduation ceremony in UCD. We wish them continued success going forwards.

Congratulations to Dr. Denise Moran on passing her viva! Denise worked on lipoxin A4 analogues containing heteroaromatic rings such as isoquinolines, and submitted her thesis titled “Synthesis of Stable Lipoxin A4 Analogues for Biological Evaluation”.

Congratulations to Andrea Zanetti who received the SFI research image of the year award in 2016 for his image: ‘Organic ChemisTree, a Telescopic View’ (below).
